Time management for exam essays?

I need to do a persuasive essay in exam conditions. I’ve been practicing, but I can never finish before the time limit.
Writing isn’t the problem for me, but I think the problem is trying to write it perfect. I spend heaps of time on just the intro trying to get it good. Anyone have suggestion on how I can fix this?

Managing your time and using it wisely is a journey, and not something that can be easily mastered overnight. Implementing a plan will help, but it is not going to be a sure cure. Time management requires a significant amount of self-discipline.
